Yep, we're a sports family

You know that meme about marrying into a family that runs 5K's on holidays? We are that family... CJ and I are both runners [which is a whole separate post for another time] and we are committed to raising kids that appreciate physical activity.  This post is more or less meant to be a recap of our journey with youth sports over the last 8 years...so buckle up! These two have done a little bit of everything. I think we started with dance classes in 2014, and that was oh so short-lived. One recital in and Lucy went to pieces over the frilly pants portion of her costume. And yes, to clarify, both kiddos were enrolled in dance... Because equality is the hill I will die on when it comes to my children. Fun fact worth mentioning...Lucy used to be absolutely terrified to try anything new -- a new class or extracurricular, and she would sob uncontrollably and cling on to us. Revisiting the Blogosphere

Have you ever blogged feverishly for years and then vanished into thin air? I started my previous blog in the summer of 2010, when I found out I was pregnant with Lucy. And I stopped blogging three years later when that life I blogged about unraveled.  I have revisited that blog countless times over the years to scroll through memory lane. It's bittersweet to look back, because Lucy and Parker are so much older now. I feel guilty for not chronicling the last 8 years as diligently. Don't get me wrong, I was and will always be a camera whore, but I wasn't keeping this special diary detailing our days and emotions over the last 8 years.  It goes without saying, but I'm saying it anyway...that version of Taylor that last wrote in 2013 is long gone. I mean, it's been 8 years. I moved to the other side of the valley, married the man of my dreams, went to nursing school, changed my hair several times...most importantly, I'd like think I've learned a few things and ...
